Ten 100% Electric Ferries Ordered for Lisbon

A ferry company that has 19 million passengers annually, ordered 10 new fully electric ferries.

Gondan Shipyard has been awarded the contract by Transtejo Soflusa, the Portuguese company that links Lisbon with the other side of the river Tagus.

Each ferry can carry 540 passengers.

The first four units will cross the Tagus in 2022. Four in 2023. Two in 2024.

Gondan Launched A New Fast Ferry For Krilo HR

On 9 October 2019, Spanish Gondan shipyard in Castropol, launched a new passenger ferry built for the Croatian shipowner Krilo HR.

KRILO LUX, with a capacity for up to 440 pax, has a length of 36 m and a beam of 10.5 m and can reach a speed of up to 34 knots, being the largest and fastest GRP catamaran built in Spain.

The vessel will operate as a ferry for regular passenger transport lines, covering the route between Split and Dubrovnik.

It is the second ship that GONDAN builds for the Croatian shipowner.
