LE RIF (12.175gt/1980) will eventually be the third Africa Morocco Link (AML) vessel to operate for Marhaba 2019 on the Algeciras-Tangier Med run.

The ship was finally renamed MOROCCO SUN and will apparently be chartered by AML (AML still needs to confirm).

Ferry Shipping News understands it will initially be for a period of 5 years.

She is expected to make 3 to 4 crossings a day and with her presence she will strengthen the Moroccans on the specific run with three vessels. Currently she is undergoing preparations at Genoa (Jobson Shipyards), while she is expected to be introduced within a month.

Another vessel on charter to AML is AMMAN, from Arab Bridge Maritim. She has been repainted in AML colours and runs between Tanger and Algeciras as from 6 June.
